THE ‘HOW’ OF WHAT WE DO
STEP 1
We will detail the ‘use-cases’ with you. This is the list of goal-orientated steps or interactions between the proposed system and external entities. Basically, it’s the who-does-what with the system, for what purpose, and what the system must be capable of delivering. Any required data must be in a machine-readable format. If not we we’ll work with you to identify and define how it is currently structured and collated. Use cases may then be revised accordingly.
STEP 2
Next we’ll prepare either hand-drawn or program-generated sketches – together with text descriptions – of the User Interface describing clearly how we propose to support the agreed use-cases.
STEP 3
Our proposal will be presented to you, discussed, and any adjustments made until agreement is reached that your requirements would be met. You then have the opportunity to feedback on a working program and at least one, perhaps two design/functional modifications to the User Interface may be required during the design/implementation cycle..
STEP 4
The acceptance stage where you, and we too, refer back to the use-cases originally agreed to verify that all essential points have been covered. Having approved earlier stages in the process, any remaining issues should now be minor and/or cosmetic. We will then publish the software or gain approval for public access.
